Guide for Authors

Accepting of the article in Journal of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (JMAS)

The article should be sent in word format 2007 and above and with the following items through the system to the address http: //ims-jmas.ir& http://ims-jmas.net.

Commitment of the author (s):

* Completing the monopoly form for publishing an article obliges the author (s) that the article has not been previously published elsewhere or sent to another journal at the same time and will not be submitted until the final answer is received from the editor of the journal.

* The author (s) are responsible for the contents of the article.

* Authors must also complete a conflict of interest form to submit an article.
* Important Note: When submitting an article, please prepare and adjust the names and details of the authors carefully and according to the author's research position in the university or research center. Changes in the order and characteristics of the authors are the responsibility of the author of the article interface.

Journal structure

Article front page includes:

English title

The English title must be an accurate translation of the Persian title.

Author (s) in English

Name and surname, academic rank and place of work of the author (s) should be given in English.

 English Summary

Extensive English summary (between 300 and 600 words).

English keywords

A maximum of six English keywords should be provided, which should be equivalent to Persian keywords.

Persian title

The title should be short, comprehensive and express the main topic of the article.

Author (s)

The name and surname, academic rank, place of work, e-mail, and contact number of the author (s) should be provided with the link identifying the author.

Persian Abstract

The article must have an abstract in Persian (up to 250 words).

Persian keywords

Bring up to six keywords.

* Article font for English text should be Time New Roman with size 12

In the text of the article, for a reference of up to two authors, write the name of the author (s) and the year of publication of the article, and for a reference of more than two authors, write the name of the first author along with the word "and colleagues" and the year of publication.

Example: when the partial reference of a sentence is in the form of "Gholami (1982) or Gholami and colleagues (1982) and when it is in addition to the sentence, in the form of (Tarantula and Walt, 1982) or (Whitlinger et al., 1993)".

Table: The tables are numbered in the order of use in the text and each table is given with a short caption and the quantity type with a unit at the top of each column.

Figure: Pictures, drawings, curves and diagrams should be numbered with the word "Figure", good quality and sufficient captions and expressions in order of use in the text. In addition, if a figure has different parts, it becomes a single form, and for figures that have several parts, they are referred to in the text as (for example), 3-a, 3-b, 3-c, and so on… In this case, in the figures section, the writings (a), (b), (c) and ... respectively, the English alphabet should be brought from left to right, outside the pictures, in the middle and below each figure, inside the comic, and in the subtitles of the figures. Also refer to it.

Equations: Equations should be numbered sequentially with English numbers in the arc at the right end of the text and refer to them in the text by bringing the Equation number in the arc. Equations should be written using Microsoft Equation 3 and the variables should be mentioned in the text and in Equations with the same format. Equations should be written with a Time New Roman font size 10.

 Units: Units are given in the SI system. Symbol Units (using negative power instead of a fraction line or the like) are used when there is a number before them. Units must be brought with a Time New Roman pen of size 10.

References: At the end of the article, in the form of articles, books, Internet references, etc. (according to the following examples), should be written in the letters of the English alphabet. References with different publication years, the author (s) should be listed in ascending order of the year of publication and related to one year by adding the letters c, b, a, etc. after the year of publication.
