Aims and Scope

The purpose of publishing the scientific-research quarterly "Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences" by the Iranian Meteorological Scientific Association (IMSA) is to promote the level of knowledge and present research achievements in the field of meteorological and atmospheric studies and to acquaint specialists, experts and students in meteorology and atmospheric sciences with new research is relevant in various fields. In general, the Journal of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences considers the following objectives:

  • Meeting scientific and research needs in the field of meteorology and atmospheric sciences,
  • Improving the level of knowledge and research in the fields related to meteorology and atmospheric sciences,
  • Presenting the results of studies and researches related to meteorology and atmospheric sciences in universities and research centers of the country,
  • Establishing connections between meteorological and atmospheric researchers
  •  Publication of new research findings in the field of meteorology and atmospheric sciences on time,
  • Achieve a quality level approved by national citation databases (ISC), international (Scopus) and (Web of Science) in the field of journalism.

 

Journal of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences welcomes articles from original studies and research findings in the field of knowledge related to meteorology and atmospheric sciences, including science, engineering and meteorological management, atmospheric and oceanographic sciences, applied meteorology (agriculture, water, environment, road, special meteorological devices and equipment).

Perspective and field of study of this journal includes the following subjects:

  • Efforts to "expand the boundaries" of knowledge in the field of meteorology and atmospheric sciences,
  • Study of issues and challenges in the field of meteorology and atmospheric sciences and provide appropriate solutions for them,
  • Publication of findings, theoretical and practical achievements in the field of meteorology and atmospheric sciences is based on valid and standard research methods,
  •  Development of an interactive network among researchers.
