Abstract
The main objective of the study was to investigate spatial and statistical and spectral characteristics of Iranshahr weather station wind speed in the marge of jazmourian wetland in southeastern Iran. Daily wind data from Iranshahr weather station located in eastern marge of wetland, operated from 1991 to 2020, used in the analysis. Simple linear regression (SLR) method is used to analyze the trend and spectral analysis and standard normal homogeneity (SNHT) test are used to analyze cycles and wind speed jumps. Preliminary analyzes revealed that the maximum daily wind speed occurs in July, June and August, and the minimum occurs in November and December. Results of Simple linear regression test showed that the wind speed during the study period in the monthly scale decreased. However, the standard normal homogeneity does not confirm a significant jump in the average wind speed. In order to investigate possible changes in the average wind speed in the frequency domain, spectral analysis method has been applied to monthly and annual data. Significant cycles extracted for the annual and monthly data of the average wind speed of Iranshahr station indicate the existence of short-term and medium-term cycles in the data of the average wind speed of the station..
