This study aims to analyze drought trends over the past three decades and to identify the spatial patterns of the most extreme droughts and wet events in Iran. For this purpose, the Standardized Drought Severity Index (ZSI) was calculated on an annual basis using ERA5-Land reanalysis precipitation data. The temporal trends of the ZSI were examined using linear regression. The results indicated that 2019 and 2021 were the wettest and driest years of the study period, respectively, with approximately 63% of the country affected by moderate to extreme wet conditions in 2019, whereas over 80% of Iran experienced moderate to extreme drought in 2021. Spatial analysis of the index revealed distinct patterns, with the highest positive ZSI values recorded in the northeast, west, and south regions in 2019, and the most severe drought conditions occurring in the eastern, northwest, and western regions in 2021. Furthermore, long-term trend analysis of the ZSI showed a weak negative slope of -0.0068, which was not statistically significant, indicating the absence of a persistent trend in drought severity over the study period. خشکسالی یکی از مهم‌ترین مخاطرات اقلیمی در ایران است که آثار گسترده‌ای بر منابع آب و امنیت غذایی دارد. این پژوهش با هدف تحلیل روند تغییرات خشکسالی در سه دهه اخیر و شناسایی الگوهای مکانی شدیدترین خشکسالی و ترسالی ها در ایران انجام شده است. برای این منظور، شاخص شدت خشکسالی استانداردشده (ZSI) به‌صورت سالانه و بر پایه داده‌های بارش بازتحلیل‌شده ERA5-Land محاسبه شد. روند تغییرات شاخص ZSI در طول دوره مورد مطالعه با استفاده از رگرسیون خطی تحلیل گردید. نتایج نشان داد که سال ۲۰۱۹ مرطوب‌ترین و سال ۲۰۲۱ خشک‌ترین سال‌های دوره مورد مطالعه بوده‌اند به گونه ای که در سال ۲۰۱۹ حدود ۶۳ درصد از مساحت کشور درگیر ترسالی متوسط تا بسیار شدید بوده است، در حالی که در سال ۲۰۲۱ بیش از ۸۰ درصد از مساحت مناطق ایران شرایط خشکسالی متوسط تا بسیار شدید را تجربه کرده‌ند. تحلیل مکانی شاخص نیز تفاوت بارز در الگوی پراکنش مکانی شرایط تر و خشک را نشان داد؛ به‌طوری که در سال ۲۰۱۹ نواحی شمال‌شرق، غرب و جنوب کشور بیشترین مقادیر مثبت شاخص را ثبت کرده‌ند، در حالی که در سال ۲۰۲۱ بیشترین شدت خشکسالی مربوط به نواحی شرقی، شمال‌غربی و غربی کشور بوده است. همچنین بررسی روند بلندمدت شاخص ZSI شیب منفی ضعیفی معادل 0068/0- را نشان داد، که از نظر آماری معنادار نبوده و بیانگر فقدان روند پایدار در شدت خشکسالی طی این دوره است. https://www.ims-jmas.net/article_243490_b9731192de6bf132966fbeb9c4a1a2dc.pdf
