The effect of MJO on precipitation occurrence has generally been investigated in the southern parts of Iran. The purpose of this study is to investigate the spatial distribution of probability of precipitation occurrence (PPO) in Iran based on MJO phases. The data used are the daily MJO index and precipitation from the ERA-Interim reanalysis data that covers Iran’s region in cold months of the year (November to April 1979-2016). The negative and positive phases of the MJO, (i.e. MJO- and MJO+) are based on the Wheeler and Hendon (2004) index. The analysis of coincidence of probability of precipitation occurrence (PPO) and Madden and Julian phases showed that the PPO in Iran in the negative phase of MJO- decreases as a nearly regular from the south to the north of the country and indicates reduction of the effect of MJO on precipitation event. All grid points received at least 45 percent of their precipitation during the negative phase of MJO. The PPO is about 75 percent in the south of Iran. On the contrary, the PPO in the positive phase of MJO, increases as a nearly regular from the south to the north, and all grid points receive at least 25 percent of their precipitation in coincidence with positive phase of MJO. Maximum value of PPO in the north, and especially in the northwest of Iran, is about 60 percent which has increased almost 20 percent compared to MJO-. The lowest PPO coincidence with the negative phase of MJO is related to the southernparts of Iran, near 25° N latitudes, where the PPO decreases about 50 percent in comparison to the negative phase of MJO.}, keywords = {MJO,Precipitation,Phase-base Probablity,Iran}, title_fa = {تحلیل مکانی احتمال رخداد بارش در ایران در فازهای مختلف سیگنال اقلیمی مادن-جولیان}, abstract_fa = {سیگنال بزرگ‌مقیاس مادن-جولیان (MJO) یکی از عوامل تأثیرگذار بر رخداد بارش در نواحی حارهّ‌ای و حتّی برون حارهّ‌ای است. تأثیر این سیگنال بر خصوصیات بارش عموماً در نواحی جنوبی ایران بررسی شده ‌است. هدف این پژوهش، بررسی توزیع مکانی احتمال رخداد بارش‌ در ایران بر اساس فازهای مختلف MJO است. داده‌های مورد استفاده متشکل از شاخص روزانه‌ MJO و بارش روزانه پایگاه‌ داده‌ تحلیل مجدد ERA-Interim در محدوده جغرافیایی ایران با قابلیت تفکیک 5/0 ‌درجه در شش‌ماه سرد سال، نوامبر تا آوریل ۱۹۷۹-۲۰۱۶ می‌باشد. فازهای مثبت و منفی MJO بر مبنای فازهای هشت‌گانه شاخص ویلر و هندون (۲۰۰۴) در نظر گرفته شده‌اند. تحلیل همزمانی وقوع بارش‌ها و فازهای مختلف MJO نشان داد که در فاز منفی MJO، احتمال رخداد بارش متناسب با عرض جغرافیائی از جنوب به شمال کاهش می‌یابد. همه نقاط در محدوده مطالعاتی حدّاقل ۴۵ درصد بارش خود را در فاز منفی دریافت کرده‌اند. این مقدار در عرض‌های ۲۵ درجه جنوب کشور به حدود ۷۵ درصد می‌رسد. به عکس، احتمال رخداد بارش در فاز مثبت به صورت تقریباً منظم از جنوب به شمال افزایش می‌یابد و همه نقاط محدوده مورد بررسی حدّاقل ۲۵ درصد بارش خود را در این فاز دریافت کرده‌اند. این مقدار در شمال و به ویژه شمال غرب کشور حدّاکثر مقدار ۶۰ درصد دارد که نسبت به فاز منفی تقریبا ۲۰ درصد افزایش یافته است. کمترین احتمال بارش در فاز مثبت، مربوط به جنوب کشور و عرض‌های ۲۵ درجه است که احتمال رخداد بارش نسبت به فاز منفی ۵۰ درصد کاهش یافته است.}, keywords_fa = {MJO,بارش,احتمال فاز مبنا,ایران}, url = {https://www.ims-jmas.net/article_128094.html}, eprint = {https://www.ims-jmas.net/article_128094_279f9774e52ae61078df69cb85d2f4ae.pdf} }
